MCLE Auctions Red Sox Playoff
Tickets to Benefit Monroe Inker
Scholarship Fund!
Auction open until 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2009
Minimum Starting Bid: $4,220
In March, MCLE auctioned a pair of 2009 season tickets to all Boston Red Sox regular season home games, the proceeds from which benefited the Monroe L. Inker Scholarship Fund, which was first established in 2006 to honor the life and work of one of the Commonwealth's most distinguished family law attorneys. The Monroe L. Inker Scholarship Fund, as a result of successful auctions over the past three years, now endows 30 scholarships every year, in perpetuity - all in Monroe's name.
Now, as the 2009 season approaches its end, the resurgent Red Sox - and Red Sox Nation along with them - are on the verge of another playoff berth. Once again, MCLE is honored to offer for auction, to the highest bidder, Monroe Inker's pair of Red Sox tickets to all home playoff games (total face value of $4,220). These are great seats, which Monroe himself occupied for nearly 50 years. The amount of the winning bid in excess of the face value of the tickets will be designated as a tax-deductible contribution to the Monroe Inker Scholarship Fund. The details of the bidding are as follows:
Item: Red Sox tickets consisting of 2 seats to all 2009 home playoff games (11 possible games in all)
Location of Seats: Loge Box 116, Section 16, Row HH, seats 3 and 4
First Home Game: To be announced
• Division Series: October 7th or 8th - October 14th, as needed
League Championship Series: October 16th - October 25th, as needed
World Series: October 28th - November 5th, as needed
• American League team to host Games 1, 2, and, if necessary, 6 and 7
Bidding Ends: Thursday, October 1st at 3:00 pm
Minimum Starting Bid: $4,220 (face value of tickets)
• This amount includes 2 seats to all possible home games
• If for some unfortunate reason, the Red Sox fail to make the playoffs,
the full
amount of the winning bid will be returned. However, if the Red Sox make the
playoffs (regardless of the number of home games played), the amount of the
winning bid in excess of the face value of the tickets will be retained by MCLE
for the benefit of the Monroe Inker Scholarship Fund.
• Any refund for unused games (in the amount of the face value of the remaining
unused tickets)
will be forwarded to the winning bidder.
Memories of Fenway at playoff time to cherish forever: Priceless!

Fending off the feisty Texas Rangers in the wild card race and having put it all together during the last month of the season, the Sox battle it out down the stretch with their eyes on and bats poised for the Fall Classic. Red Sox fever is running high. Here's your chance to be part of the action!
This is a wonderful opportunity to honor Monroe, support MCLE's scholarship program, and experience historic Fenway Park during the most magical time of the year!
