The New MUPC Is Here—MCLE Has It Covered!

Massachusetts finally has a new Uniform Probate Code (“MUPC”). After almost twenty years of debate, the MUPC was signed into law on January 15, 2009. This major legislation brings significant changes to the probate process and important reforms to probate procedure. Particular areas impacted include intestacy, administration of estates, and default rules to address gaps in planning.

The MUPC becomes effective on January 2, 2012, but the guardianship provisions took effect on July 1, 2009. MCLE has the resources to get you up to speed in three simple steps.
