The MCLE Program Faculty Guide
The collaboration between MCLE and its thousands of volunteers is extremely rewarding, and benefits the
entire Massachusetts bar. To promote its relationship with its volunteers, MCLE has produced a faculty guide
which aims to assist volunteers in presenting their expert opinions in the best possible fashion. Click here to

Audio Visual Information and Training
Many of MCLE's program volunteers make use of the extensive audio and visual equipment that is available
at MCLE's Boston Conference Center. To find out what audio-visual equipment MCLE can provide, and how
to make the best use of it, click here.
MCLE runs annual presentation skills and PowerPoint® programs, which are free to any MCLE volunteer. Please
contact MCLE customer service to find the dates of the next scheduled presentation skills or PowerPoint®
programs.
Expense Reimbursement Form
MCLE will reimburse certain expenses incurred by faculty members when they volunteer for MCLE.
Expenses that may be reimbursed include tolls, mileage, and parking. To download a reimbursement form

Guests and Complementary Program Materials Policy
Volunteers for MCLE programs are welcome to bring a guest to the program free of charge (except for multiple day limited enrollment workshops and training programs) and each volunteer and guest receives a copy of each of the books or program materials that accompany the
program.
If a program volunteer would like to purchase copies of program materials in addition to the standard number
of complimentary copies, MCLE is pleased to sell such additional copies at a significantly discounted at-cost
price. The at-cost price of a work varies depending upon the particular work, and is based MCLE's costs of
printing and binding.

MCLE's Guide for Editors and Authors
MCLE's goal is to develop and offer the highest quality CLE publications in order to set a standard of CLE
excellence, and our editors and authors have a key role in this endeavor. As an editor or author, you can
count on MCLE's full administrative support throughout your writing process. In order to orient you to the task
of editing or writing an MCLE publication, we have set forth our technical and substantive expectations for

Complimentary Copies Policy
MCLE is pleased to furnish each editor or author who has actively participated in a book project with two
complimentary copies of the work as first published. MCLE also provides the editor or author with two copies
of any subsequent print supplement or revision for which he or she has contributed a written update.
If the editor or author of a work wishes to purchase copies of the work in addition to the standard number of

MCLE's Reprint Policy
Because all MCLE publications are protected by copyright, any use by an outside party or by the author himself
or herself requires prior permission from MCLE. MCLE requires that the requesting party fill out our Request
for Reprint Permission. Permission is limited narrowly as to the scope of the use described in such request
(which must be a non-competing use,) and is granted for a standard fee. Other requirements are set forth in

Each year, MCLE has the pleasure of honoring those volunteers whose generous sharing of time

Associate Justice (Ret.), Probate and Family Court; Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts, Worcester
An enthusiastic volunteer for over 30 years who has participated in more than 70 MCLE family law programs; an active participant in MCLE's annual Family Law Trial Advocacy Workshop and creator of the highly acclaimed Family Law Mediation Workshop; a judicial commentator on MCLE's Divorce Law Practice Manual. Strongly committed to providing legal services to the poor, he founded the pro bono initiative, Senior Partners for Justice, in 2002.
Martin R. Healy
Goodwin Procter LLP, Boston
A vital member of MCLE's Real Estate and Environmental Law Curriculum Advisory Committee who has helped shape that area's programming for more than two decades; a frequent speaker at environmental law and land use programs; editor and author of MCLE's best-selling Massachusetts Zoning Manual since its initial publication in 1990.

A leading practitioner in the area of employment law instrumental in curriculum development as a member of MCLE's Employment Law Curriculum Advisory Committee; a perennial participant in MCLE's annual Employment Law Conference and frequent presenter at numerous other MCLE programs; co-editor of MCLE's Massachusetts Employment Law manual and co-author of Representing a Plaintiff in a Wrongful Termination Case.
