DONALD N. FREEDMAN is a principal of the firm of Rosenberg, Freedman & Goldstein LLP in Newton, where he concentrates his practice on elder law, work- and entitlement-related legal problems of adults with disabilities, special estate planning for families with children with special needs, and advising trustees, guardians, and other fiduciaries on meeting their responsibilities. He has served as president of the Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts and as a member of the Governor’s Commission on Mental Retardation. In January 2009, Mr. Freedman was chosen by MCLE to be one of four recipients of its Scholar-Mentor Award for “outstanding contributions to legal education” over the past twenty-five years. He is a graduate of Brandeis University and Boston College Law School. (August 2009)
