PAMELA L. HUNT has practiced criminal law for 33 years as a prosecutor, recently retiring from state service. A graduate of Mills College, she holds a master's degree from the University of Denver and received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School where she was the first woman editor-in-chief of the law review. After serving as law clerk to Justice Wilkins at the Supreme Judicial Court , and some time in private practice, she was an assistant district attorney in Middlesex County holding the positions of appellate prosecutor, District Court supervisor and Superior Court supervisor. As an assistant attorney general she was chief of the Appellate Division in the Attorney General's Office and as Senior Counsel concentrated on policy, legislation, planning and practice in matters affecting criminal law, the criminal justice system and the courts, and authored numerous amicus briefs.  Ms. Hunt has represented the Attorney General on numerous Boards and Commissions including the Criminal History Systems Board and the Firearms Licensing Review Board, was on several trial and appellate court committees, served on the Supreme Judicial Court's Standing Advisory Committee on Criminal Rules, was appointed to the Massachusetts Sentencing Commission, is active in bar associations, was on the Massachusetts Law Review Editorial Board, and has frequently chaired and participated in continuing legal education programs and in-service training for criminal justice personnel. She has volunteered as a moot court judge, worked with middle school students in the Citizen Schools trial program and organized the SJC's Law Day Program for several years.
