KIMBERLY YUNEE JONES is counsel in the labor and employment department for the Boston office of Foley Hoag LLP, where she represents corporate clients and individuals in state and federal court, before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings. Ms. Jones counsels employers and human resources professionals in interviewing and hiring, employee misconduct and discipline, leave-of-absence requests, discharge decisions, and related personnel matters. Also, she collaborates with employers to identify and resolve discrimination claims, sexual harassment complaints, and to conduct effective workplace investigations. Ms. Jones drafts and negotiates employment agreements, non-competition agreements, and severance agreements and prepares employment handbooks, personnel policies, employment applications, offer letters, and other employer-generated documents. In recent years, she has represented and advised religious institutions in matters involving church autonomy, discipline, and canon law. Ms. Jones is a MCAD certified trainer for discrimination prevention and harassment prevention in the workplace. (June 2007)
