TAMSIN R. KAPLAN, an experienced employment lawyer and civil litigator, is of counsel to the law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, PA, in Woburn. She represents corporations, executives, and other high-level professionals in discrimination, breach of contract, noncompete, and other employment- and business-related matters in Massachusetts and federal courts and in government agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Ms. Kaplan advises her clients regarding the full range of employment-related legal concerns, from recruitment and hiring to discipline and termination. She also provides her corporate clients with employment agreements, employee handbooks, employment audits, workplace investigations, and trainings on diversity, harassment, and other topics. Since 1998, Ms. Kaplan's alternative dispute resolution practice has included mediation of business and employment disputes and other civil litigation matters. She currently serves as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association Expedited Commercial Panel. She frequently addresses audiences of lawyers, human resources professionals, and business owners on employment law, litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and legal practice topics. She was named a New England "Super Lawyer" in 2010 and 2011. For over ten years, Ms. Kaplan was the principal in the law firm of Tamsin R. Kaplan & Associates, PC. She has enjoyed an active employment law and litigation practice in Massachusetts since 1994, prior to which she served as a law clerk and regional administrative law clerk in the Massachusetts Superior Court.
