TIMOTHY M. MURPHY is a partner of the Boston law firm of Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers LLP, where he is co-chair of the Patent Practice Group.  He is a graduate of the engineering and law schools of Columbia University.  Mr. Murphy’s practice is concentrated in the areas of patent prosecution, litigation and licensing, and other intellectual property areas.  He has previously lectured for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., in patent matters, and he chaired the 11th and 12th Intellectual Property Law Conferences at MCLE.  Prior to joining Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers LLP, Mr. Murphy worked in New York and California in the legal department of a large, multinational computer manufacturer. (October 2009)
