ADAM J. RUTTENBERG is a partner with Looney & Grossman LLP in Boston. His principal areas of practice are bankruptcy litigation, business reorganization, and representing debtors, creditors, and bankruptcy trustees. He is a graduate of Yale University (B.A., summa cum laude, 1984) and Harvard Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 1988). He was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1989 following a judicial clerkship in New Haven, Conn., with Judge Jose A. Cabranes, then of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. He was associated with Bingham, Dana & Gould in Boston between 1989 and 1991, and between 1991 and 1996, he was senior attorney at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s office in Franklin. Mr. Ruttenberg joined Looney & Grossman in 1996 and became a partner in 2001. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. Mr. Ruttenberg is an active member of the bankruptcy section of the Boston Bar Association, where he formerly served as cochairman of the pro bono committee, and is now a member of the steering committee.
