PATRICIA A. WASHIENKO is a cofounding member of the law firm Freiberger & Washienko LLC in Boston, where she focuses her practice primarily on employment law matters. She represents individuals and companies in a wide range of employment and compensation matters, including the negotiation and enforcement of sophisticated employment, compensation and separation agreements; and the litigation of workplace-related claims, including the prosecution and defense of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. She was named by Boston Magazine as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Ms. Washienko is an active member of the Boston Bar Association, where she has served on the steering committee for the labor and employment section; the Massachusetts Bar Association; the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association, where she has served as employment section chair; and the Massachusetts chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Washienko is active in continuing legal education and has served as co-chair of MCLE seminars and as a frequent panelist for numerous MCLE and BBA employment law seminars and conferences. She has published articles on employment law issues particularly relevant to executives, has served as a quarterly commentator for the Massachusetts Discrimination Law Reporter, and has written numerous amici curiae briefs in employment matters. Before entering private practice, Ms. Washienko served as a law clerk to the justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Ms. Washienko graduated, cum laude, from Harvard University before she received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. (February 2011)
