LISA R. WITHAM is one of the founding employees of Lowrie, Lando & Anastasi LLP (LL&A), having managed the nonlegal staff and its growth since the Cambridge firm opened in 2003. Now Ms. Witham works diligently to ensure that the original vision of a collegial and efficient workplace is maintained on an ongoing basis. In addition to her management responsibilities, she also handles LL&A’s annuities and maintenance fee payments. Prior to joining LL&A, Ms. Witham was the director of paralegal and library services at a large intellectual property firm in Boston, where she oversaw the international filing department, trademark filing department, library services/searching, litigation paralegals, patent paralegals, and the annuity department. Before serving as director, Ms. Witham was an international filing specialist. In that role, she participated in the development, and eventual management, of the firm’s international filing department. Ms. Witham also assisted in implementing new policy and procedures relating to IP prosecution and docketing. She holds a B.A. in criminology from the University of Southern Maine, and an A.A. in paralegal studies from Champlain College. Ms. Witham is cochair of the Massachusetts Paralegals Association’s intellectual property group and a member of the Boston Patent Law Association. (June 2008)
