Why attend?

Massachusetts finally has a new Uniform Probate Code ("UPC"). After almost twenty years of debate, the UPC was signed into law on January 15th. This major legislation brings significant changes to the probate process and important reforms to probate procedure. Particular areas impacted include intestacy, administration of estates, and default rules to address gaps in planning.

MCLE is offering five seminars around the state to introduce practitioners to the most important changes. The UPC becomes effective on July 1, 2011, but the guardianship provisions take effect on July 1, 2009.
