    Product Description

The new Massachusetts Sick Leave Law goes into effect on July 1, 2015. Get up-to-date on the requirements of the new law, including the enumerated purposes for which an employee can take leave, the amount of leave that must be provided, and the manner in which it can be used.

Expert practitioners address key questions employers are confronting, such as the most efficient and cost-effective ways to incorporate the law's requirements into existing paid time-off plans, and how to manage employee attendance and tardiness in the face of these requirements. The panel also analyzes employee rights under the new law—and how to protect them. The faculty then delve into the dynamic—and sometimes confusing—interplay between this law and other leave laws with which there may be overlap, such as the Domestic Violence Leave Law, the Parental Leave Law, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Small Necessities Leave Act. Finally, the panel discusses anticipated regulations to be issued by the Office of the Attorney General—and clarification those may provide on issues being debated in the employment law bar at present.

Your time is valuable; get the updates and practical analysis you need from the expert faculty in a highly focused, moderated dialogue at this new program that cuts straight to the pertinent issues arising in your practice.
