    Product Description

Race, poverty, and the role of legal services

MCLE is pleased to bring you its 5th Annual Legal Services Conference 2017 which draws together the Massachusetts legal services community. Legal aid and pro bono advocates throughout the state convene to discuss the impact of legal aid, and the different avenues legal aid can take to make a difference. This year’s Conference takes a hard look at the relationship between race and poverty; asks and tries to respond to the questions of what role legal aid can and does place in addressing racial injustice and how can we approach our work through a racial justice lens; and lastly hosts a forum addressing how legal service organizations can plan for the years ahead.

Throughout the day, experts engage in dialogue around a number of pressing issues, with a focus on how these play out practically in your legal aid cases.
