Why attend?

State and local procurement and contracting requirements can be very complicated. The procurement laws, regulations, and policies that are followed by state and local governments for goods, services, and construction are quite different and complex. This seminar includes both the latest advice on procurement and contracting by state and local public entities of goods and services, as well as public construction procurements and public contracting. The Massachusetts panel of experts are joined by the State of Rhode Island faculty as this seminar discusses both Massachusetts and Rhode Island procurement content. Come and join Massachusetts and Rhode Island procurement experts and learn the differences between the procurement of goods and services by the state versus municipalities. Panelists also discuss some tips for the receipt of federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding. You should consider attending if you are a government agency or municipal counsel, public procurement counsel, private counsel representing a governmental body, private counsel representing a company that does business or is interested in doing business with governmental entities, or if you are simply interested in learning more about government procurement and construction laws.
