Search Tips

MCLE's powerful search engine allows you to locate the CLE products you need quickly and easily. Here are a few tips to aid you in your search:

  • Use the filters to the left to narrow down the types of products in your search. For example, if you are looking for a CD recording of a criminal law program, set the practice area filter to “Criminal Law” and the product type filter to “CDs.”
  • If you want to include more than one option in a filter, use CTRL and click to select multiple menu items. For example, if you want an online article or online audio recording on “severance”, you can CTRL click to select “Business and Commercial Law,” “Employment and Labor Law” in the practice area filter, and "Online Articles" and "Online audio" in the product type filter.
  • Use the boolean connectors to connect multiple words and expressions (in the drop down menus next to the keyword boxes). For example if you want to find a CLE product covering the presentation of evidence in criminal cases, but not in drug offense cases, try the following search: “Evidence” not “Drug,” with the practice area filter set to “Criminal Law”, where the “not” is in the first drop down menu next to the first keyword search box.
  • Once you narrow down your results by a search, you can also sort the results by relevancy, alphabetically, by the publication date, or by product type. So if you want to see all the results on a topic, but have a preference for books if one is available, then perform your search, sort by product type and you will be able to quickly and easily locate all the books that match your search criteria. If no book exists, you can see what else is available.
