MCLE’s Book on Elder and Disability Law Wins International Award |
The first edition of MCLE’s publication, Elder and Disability Law in Massachusetts, has won the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) award for “Outstanding Achievement” in the 2024 “Best of ACLEA” competition’s publications category. MCLE was honored to receive the award at ACLEA’s Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado this month. The 44-chapter, 47-author practice manual addresses immediate problems of daily life such as housing, employment, education, and access to public services in areas where aging, disability, and incapacity intersect at various points along the human lifespan. The book is available as a paperback, an ebook, and in the MCLE OnlinePass® subscription product. Its 147 forms, checklists, and exhibits are downloadable from MCLE’s website. Tables and a detailed index offer quick reference to key words, phrases, and primary sources. We are incredibly appreciative of the hard work of MCLE staff and the book’s volunteer editors and authors. Learn more about the book here. Established in 1964, ACLEA is an international association with members hailing from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and Mexico. The organization’s mission is “to serve the continuing legal education profession worldwide through leadership, community, education, and development.” The annual “ACLEA’s Best” Awards recognize creativity, innovation, excellence, and outstanding achievement in the categories of marketing, programs, publications, public interest, and technology. MCLE is proud to have received awards in each of the five categories. |
