    Product Description

A recent article in the Harvard Business Review makes the case that mindfulness is a “must have” for professionals “to keep our brains healthy, to support self-regulation and effective decision-making capacities and to protect ourselves from toxic stress.” Join the Chicago Bulls, LA Lakers, Google, CNN’s Anderson Cooper, ABC’s Dan Harris and thousands of doctors, lawyers, teachers and other professionals around the globe who practice mindfulness to reduce stress and increase focus, optimism, complex thinking, resilience, effectiveness and overall health and well-being.

Mindfulness is an essential foundation for thriving in and sustaining a satisfying legal career and for increasing the capacity to meet the inherent stressors and challenges of a busy law practice and life. In a paper entitled “Building Better Lawyers at Every Level” (2012), the ABA Section of Litigation collected various competency models in response to legal market forces and the need to increase efficiency, cost effectiveness and value to the client. Primary among those competencies was resilience. Mindfulness is the key ingredient in resilience, enabling lawyers to cope with daily hassles, challenging circumstances and uncertainty, and to adapt after experiencing stressful life events.

In this program, you hear about mindfulness and how it relates to the legal profession. You also have the opportunity to experience various mindfulness practices and learn how to integrate them into your life and work so you can be more focused, more balanced, and more resilient.
