Welcome
Thank you for logging on to the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. (MCLE) website. MCLE is a
leading provider of comprehensive continuing legal education for Massachusetts practitioners. Our web site
holds the practice-oriented, content-rich resources that have been our hallmark for 40 years. Find out how
MCLE.org can help you here.
Mission Statement
MCLE's primary constituency is Massachusetts attorneys and its primary content emphasis is applied
Massachusetts law. Spanning all experience levels, MCLE offers a progression of study to build, maintain
and update knowledge and skills throughout a lawyer's career. To respond to the diverse needs of the bar,
MCLE offers a curriculum of full-service multimedia CLE in various specialized practice concentrations for
practitioners from a variety of practice situations at locations across the Commonwealth. Find out more
about our mission here.
Board of Trustees
MCLE is a nonprofit corporation organized pursuant to Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws and
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Institution is governed by a Board of Trustees that
includes sixteen members of the Massachusetts legal community. Among the members of the MCLE Board of
Trustees are the current presidents of the Massachusetts and Boston bar associations. The Board meets
quarterly, and is made up of several committees that meet at various times throughout the year. Find a
list of our Trustees here.
Curriculum Advisory Committees
MCLE derives creative ideas for program and book collection development from practice area curriculum
advisory committees. Curriculum advisory committee members are practitioners who have achieved recognition
in their area of practice and who are committed to sharing the benefit of that expertise with their
colleagues. Throughout the year, the committees meet with MCLE staff attorneys to advise MCLE on the
impact of new legal developments on the course curricula and provide practical insight on how MCLE's
programs and publications can best meet the CLE needs of the Massachusetts bar and the public it serves.
