Ordering

Why do I have to sign in to place an order online?
MCLE maintains a database of all individuals admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. In order to ensure proper notification regarding product updates or schedule changes, and to minimize duplication of accounts, the MCLE shopping cart will not process guest transactions; you must be signed in to your account to place an order.
How do I place an order without entering my credit card information online?
Contact our Customer Service Team at 800-966-6253 or customerservice@mcle.org. Additionally, the MCLE Bookstore is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
What forms of payment do you accept?
MCLE accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit card payments. If you are mailing your order or visiting the MCLE Bookstore, you may also pay by check made out to MCLE, Inc.

Shipping & Delivery

What are your shipping rates?
There is a flat shipping and handling fee of $8.50 for all orders requiring shipping. If your order requires shipping in multiple parts, you will not incur additional shipping charges.
When can I expect my order to arrive?
We process most orders within 24 business hours of receipt and shipping generally takes between 3 to 7 days.
Can I request expedited shipping for an item I need right away?
If you require expedited shipping, please contact Customer Service at 800-966-6253. There is an additional shipping charge for expedited orders.

Returns & Refunds

Can I cancel an order online?
No. Please contact Customer Service at 800-966-6253 to cancel an order. If your order has already shipped, our customer service representatives will email you a return label via www.ups.com.
How do I return a book?
Simply mail the book to MCLE at 10 Winter Place, Boston, MA 02108 with your packing slip or invoice, or drop it off at the MCLE Conference Center anytime Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. You may also request a UPS return shipping label by contacting us at 800-966-6253 or customerservice@mcle.org.

Publications Reprint Requests

How do I request permission to reprint a portion of an MCLE publication?
It is recommended that you initiate the reprint permission process at least one month in advance of the intended date for distribution of the reprinted material by emailing MCLE's Director of Publications, Maryanne G. Jensen, Esq., at mjensen@mcle.org. Note the title of the article you wish to reprint (including the title of the publication, chapter number, and author's name), the number of pages to be reprinted, the number of reprints you wish to make, and the purpose for the reprint (e.g., for distribution at a seminar to take place on ___, sponsored by ___.) Once MCLE determines whether to grant the permission, and the fee therefore, you will be emailed a "Request to MCLE for Reprint Permission" form noting the permission, the fee, and any particular restrictions on the grant of permission. Sign the request form and return it with the reprint fee to the attention of the Director of Publications, MCLE, Inc., 10 Winter Place, Boston, MA 02108. It is your responsibility to contact the author directly, to advise that you are reprinting their material with MCLE's permission (once such permission has been granted by MCLE). This is required as a professional courtesy to the author of the original work. Suggested language for notification to the author is as follows:
"I am honored to notify you that MCLE has granted me permission to reprint your original work which was published in [MCLE publication title] [copyright year]. Your work will appear in [your publication title and copyright year]. The reprinted material will include full attribution to you as its author."
