AMENDED ORDER OF TERM SUSPENSION

This matter previously came before the Court, Cordy, J., on a Notice of Conviction of a Serious Crime pursuant to S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 12 (9), and on December 11, 2009, this Court entered an order remanding this matter to the Board of Bar Overseers for further proceedings. After the filing on October 29, 2010, of an Information and Record of Proceedings pursuant to S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 8 (6), and the Recommendation and Vote of the Board of Bar Overseers and with the stipulation of the parties, this Court entered an Order on December 16, 2 010, suspending the lawyer for a period of twelve (12) months, with the lawyer actually suspended from the practice of law for the first six (6) months of the twelve (12) month suspension, with the remaining six (6) months of the twelve (12) month suspension suspended.

This matter now comes before the Court, Cordy, J., on a Motion to Impose Full Term Suspension filed by the office of Bar Counsel on August 18, 2011. Bar Counsel requests that as the lawyer has violated the terms of the suspended portion of the suspension, an Order should enter suspending the lawyer for the full term of twelve (12) months, effective as of January 17, 2011; and the lawyer prior to filing his petition for reinstatement to the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts shall be required to take and pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam. The lawyer having filed his assent to this motion, and upon consideration thereof,

It is ORDERED that the lawyer's suspended suspension for the first six (6) months of the twelve (12) month suspension be, and hereby is, revoked and JASON KNESE BETTS is now suspended for a term of twelve (12) months, retroactive to January 17, 2011,

It is FURTHER ORDERED that the lawyer's reinstatement to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is conditioned upon the lawyer taking and passing the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam.

By the Court, (Cordy, J.)

Assistant Clerk
