Order In Re: Henry E. Knoblock, III
This matter came before the Court, Cypher, J., on bar counsel's Petition for Contempt filed on February 10, 2021 for the lawyer's failure to comply with this Court's December 13, 2019 Judgment Accepting Affidavit of Resignation as a Disciplinary Sanction and S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 17. On June 30, 2021, the parties filed a Joint Stipulation and agreed to certain conditions as a resolution to the petition.
Upon consideration thereof, it is ORDERED that the petition for contempt be and hereby is, resolved and the lawyer shall abide by the following conditions:
1. The lawyer shall modify his resume to clearly reflect that he is not seeking employment that would constitute or involve the practice of law;
2. Without limitation to any restriction imposed by S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 17(7), the lawyer shall be expressly prohibited from soliciting, accepting, or engaging in any employment involving the drafting and/or negotiation of legal documents, such as contracts and licensing agreements; or soliciting, accepting, or engaging in employment that involves the provision of legal advice or opinions regarding compliance with statutes or regulations;
3. The lawyer shall be prohibited from using any e-mail address, trade name, job title, or other personal descriptor that tends to identify him as a lawyer or legal specialist; and
4. The lawyer's date to apply for reinstatement to the practice of law in the Commonwealth shall be extend to November 12, 2028.
If the lawyer fails to comply with any of the terms of this order, the Office of Bar Counsel may then refile a Petition for Contempt of the December 13, 2019 Judgment and an order to show cause why the petition should not be granted will issue.
