    Product Description

The ABA and the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation have just released the most comprehensive study yet conducted on addictive behavior and mental health among US attorneys. Results from the study are troubling: 21% of lawyers qualify as problem drinkers, 28% struggle with some degree of depression, and 19% have symptoms of anxiety. Perhaps most alarming is the fact that the new study shows a much higher rate of these problems in young attorneys than was found in previous studies.

This program discusses the findings of the study and its implications for legal professionals and the practice, with a focus on solving the issues. Expert faculty, including Rodney Dowell, Executive Director of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL), Dr. Shawn Healy, and therapist Andrew Kang, Esq., explain how LCL and other organizations work with legal entities and individuals to address problems related to substance abuse, depression and anxiety.
