    Product Description

    Representing clients at arraignment and bail hearings requires the ability to make quick, and well informed, decisions. Understanding pre-arraignment options, the arraignment process, and post-arraignment considerations is an essential skill for criminal defense attorneys.

    Navigating bail hearings is a complex process. Make sure you are familiar with the various bail statutes, the standards applied for an order under each, and the impact of each on your client.

    This seminar is designed to familiarize you with the variety of bail hearings and decisions, and outcomes including:

    • Personal recognizance, cash bail, pre-trial release conditions;

    • Dangerousness hearings; and

    • Revocation of bail.

    After this primer you will have the ability to quickly assess the benefits and risks your clients are exposed to under the various bail statutes. Most importantly, you will be able to quickly inform and advise your clients of the legal, and practical, issues and considerations, throughout the process. The ability to have honest discussions with your client during the arraignment and bail process establishes a solid foundation for the attorney-client relationship, a necessary component while navigating a criminal case with our clients.
