    Product Description

This program discusses the new FinCEN Rule set to impact residential real estate transactions beginning on December 1, 2025. The new rule is expected to have a major impact on attorneys and settlement agents who handle residential real property transactions. The rule will require mandatory reporting to FinCEN (U.S. Treasury Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) of certain residential real estate transfers, when the transferee/grantee of the property is a legal entity or trust. The reporting will require collecting detailed beneficial ownership data of both the transferee/grantee as well as the grantor and submitting the collected data to FinCEN through their reporting portal.
