Product Description
Product Description
Join our expert panelists to learn the intricacies of, and navigation through, the security deposit statute. The panelists provide a roadmap from the landlord’s receipt of a security deposit through its return. This new program highlights the do’s and don’ts from the inception of a tenant’s tenancy, and how the acts of both the landlord and tenant dictate whether the security deposit gets returned, and in what amount, to the tenant at the conclusion of their lease term. It further explores whether the return will be viewed proper as outlined by the Commonwealth’s statute as well as related case law, and the potential liabilities and damages that may result from any mishandling of the security deposit whether at the time it was given, and/or at the time returned. The panelists also provide an overview of the case law on security deposit matters in courts throughout the Commonwealth as well as analysis of a current Supreme Judicial Case pending for argument.
