Product Description
On December 22, 2017 the President signed the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act”—which includes some of the most significant changes in 30 years in the U.S. tax laws affecting nonprofit organizations. The Act further erodes the “tax-exempt” nature of nonprofits, imposing new taxes on certain nonprofit organizations and increasing the effect of existing taxes on many others. The new law also affects charitable giving, both during lifetime and at death. The impact of the new law may also have a ripple effect on the ways in which states and municipalities tax nonprofits. This program is designed to assist attorneys in understanding the provisions that impact their clients.
