Product Description
Product Description
The Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) is designed to protect trillions of dollars held by private U.S. employers for their employees. It also governs the provision of medical, disability, and other benefits offered to employees as part of their compensation packages. ERISA incorporates the Affordable Care Act as to its regulation of medical plans. Its many rules are complex, and places on private employers and other fiduciaries standards aimed at protecting the rights of employees and their families. This new program unscrambles the maze of rules in an accessible way for lawyers who do not practice in the area of ERISA but need to understand employees’ rights relating to benefits.
