Starting a Subscription

How do I purchase an MCLE OnlinePass subscription for myself?
You can purchase an individual subscription to the MCLE OnlinePass, here and then select "Become an MCLE OnlinePass Subscriber" in the "Subscribe Now" section of the page. Individual subscriptions are available to solo practitioners only; if you practice in a firm or other organization, you must purchase a firm subscription.
How do I purchase an MCLE OnlinePass subscription for my firm?
To purchase a subscription for your firm, the first step is to designate an account administrator. For further information, go here and choose "For law firms" under "Subscribe Now." Or to get started immediately, call MCLE's Customer Service Team at 800-966-6253.
What are my OnlinePass payment options?
OnlinePass subscriptions run for 1 year from the date payment is received. Customers who pay by credit card may select from two payment plan options: annual and monthly. Customer who pay by check are eligible only for the annual payment plan.
ANNUAL PAYMENT PLAN
You may choose to pay for your year-long OnlinePass subscription all at once upon sign up. If you select annual payment, full payment is due at sign-up and is nonrefundable. No early cancellation for refund is permitted. If you pay by credit card, prior to the expiration of the first 12-month term, you will receive an email notice asking if you would like to continue your subscription on an annual basis or convert your payment option to monthly. Unless you notify MCLE otherwise, your annual subscription will renew automatically, and your credit card will be charged accordingly. If you convert to a monthly payments, we will proceed to charge your credit card monthly unless you cancel your subscription pursuant to the monthly payment plan provision described above.
MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN
If you pay by credit card you may choose to pay your year-long OnlinePass subscription in monthly installments. After the first 12 months, MCLE will continue to charge your credit card monthly unless you cancel your subscription. You will not receive a renewal notice, but will receive notice if the price or benefits change. After the first year, you may cancel your subscription at any time by notifying MCLE. There will be no proration of monthly fees. However, if you decide to re-subscribe after having cancelled, a new 1-year commitment to will be required.
When does my OnlinePass subscription start?
If you pay for your new OnlinePass subscription with a credit card, your subscription will start immediately. If your pay for your new OnlinePass subscription with a check, your subscription will start when MCLE receives your check.
Is the MCLE OnlinePass available for libraries?
If you would like to purchase a subscription for your library (if it is not associated with a law firm), please contact MCLE's Customer Service Team at 800-966-6253.

Renewing a Subscription

When does my current OnlinePass subscription end?
To find out when your current subscription ends, log into your account by selecting "SIGN IN" at the top of the MCLE homepage (on smaller screens, click the menu icon at the top left and then click on "SIGN IN"). Once you have logged in, select the OnlinePass icon to navigate to your Subscriber Dashboard. Your subscription end date will appear under "My OnlinePass."
How do OnlinePass renewals work?
If you paid in full via credit card upon signing up for the OnlinePass, you will receive an email notice before your 12-month term ends giving you the option to continue to pay annually or to convert your payment plan to a monthly one. If you do nothing, your subscription will automatically renew. (If the credit card we have on file is set to expire, you will receive an email notification.)
If you pay your subscription on a monthly basis, your subscription will renew automatically and we will continue to charge your credit card each month. (If the credit card we have on file is set to expire, you will receive an email notification.)
